Log in. Preview out.
drop.look applies your LUT to a whole folder of clips and turns them into small, finished videos ready to share – with clients, friends or on Instagram. No editing app, no export marathon.
Only 5 places in the first beta round – everyone in gets drop.look as a gift, forever. Release later in October. Beta news only, no spam, unsubscribe in one click.
Drag the edge – your footage before and after.
Three steps. No project.
Open Resolve, create a project, import clips, apply a LUT, set up Deliver – just for a preview? That's too much. drop.look does one thing, and does it fast.
Drop in a folder
The SD card, the drone folder, the whole shoot day. drop.look finds the clips itself, subfolders included.
Pick a LUT
Choose your .cube file and check it in the before/after preview. Too strong? Turn down the strength.
Start
drop.look renders the whole batch on your Mac's graphics hardware. Out come compact MP4s, ready to share.
For everyone who shoots log.
Log gets more out of your camera – but straight out of camera it looks grey and flat. With drop.look everyone sees right away how it's meant to look.
You fly DJI
More dynamic range with D-Log M, but still want to send a few clips to friends quickly? Folder from the card, LUT on, off to the chat.
D-Log M · D-Log · Mini, Air, Mavic, Avata, Osmo Pocket & Action
You shoot on iPhone
Apple Log on the iPhone Pro gives you more room than any filter app. drop.look turns it into videos you can show right away.
Apple Log · Apple Log 2
You shoot for clients
Review proxies that don't prompt “why is this so grey?”. With naming scheme, mirrored folder structure and optional burn-in.
S-Log3 · V-Log · C-Log · N-Log · F-Log · BMD Film · …
Small. But thorough.
Whole folders at once
Scans recursively, recognises proxies, skips duplicates.
Live before/after
Draggable split and frame scrubber – before you render anything.
Small files
MP4 in 1080p or 720p, optimised for the web. Fine for email, WhatsApp and Instagram.
True to colour
The LUT gets your log values untouched – no hidden colour space conversion in between.
Fast on the Mac
Renders on Apple silicon's media engines. Several clips in parallel.
Good sound
AAC stays untouched, PCM audio is converted at up to 320 kbit/s.
Stays organised
Naming scheme with suffix, folder structure mirrored or flat.
Everything stays on your Mac
No upload, no account, no cloud. Updates arrive on their own.
First beta round. Free forever.

All places gone? Sign up anyway – you'll go on the waiting list and move up as soon as a place frees up.
Questions
Do I need my own LUT?
Yes. drop.look doesn't ship LUTs, because most manufacturer LUTs may not be redistributed. For DJI D-Log M, Apple Log and most cameras there are free conversion LUTs straight from the manufacturer – or use your own look. drop.look reads any 3D LUT in .cube format.
Which files does it work with?
Anything your Mac plays natively: H.264, HEVC and ProRes in MOV and MP4 – drone and iPhone clips as well as camera proxies. RAW formats such as BRAW or R3D are not supported.
What does drop.look cost?
Nothing in the first beta round: the five places get drop.look as a gift, for good and including all updates for 1.x. Later drop.look becomes a paid app – pay once, no subscription.
What if all places are gone?
Then you go on the waiting list. If a place frees up, you move up automatically and get an email.
On how many Macs can I use it?
On all Macs you use yourself. A license is for one person; in a team, each person needs their own.
Which Mac do I need?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Fastest on Apple silicon – Pro and Max chips render with two media engines.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. Everything is rendered locally on your Mac and the license is checked offline. drop.look only asks our server for updates.
Your next shoot. Already shared.
